Tusla Child and Family Agency is proud offer 100 new places for the NFQ Level 9 Social Work Apprenticeship, in collaboration with University College Cork (UCC) and the All-Employers Forum. Designed to drive change and shape the future of social work, this 24-month dual programme enables participants to gain fully paid, on-the-job experience and skills while pursuing a Level 9 Masters in Social Work, or Postgraduate Diploma in Social Work Studies. The initiative is open to both existing Tusla staff and external applicants.
Offering broad eligibility criteria and recognition of prior learning, the apprenticeship allows participants to immerse themselves in the field of social work while pursuing academic accreditation by UCC via blended learning. After successfully completing the apprenticeship, each apprentice will be eligible to register with CORU as a social worker.
